Play is integral to children’s mental health.

Neurodiversity-Affirming Play Therapy provides children (ages 2-14) with joyful, developmentally appropriate, therapeutic interactions, within a neurodiversity-affirming environment. This Adlerian-influenced model supports expressive and receptive communication, self-regulation, collaborative play and creative exploration - helping kids to make profound discoveries about how healthy relationships work, and how enjoyable they can be!

Neurodiversity-Affirming Play Therapy is not about behaviour modification or compliance - it is about engagement, collaboration, communication and building authentic, enjoyable, play-based experiences and interactions!

Friendship is central to mental health, and neurodivergence can make forming and sustaining friendships with neurotypical kids difficult. 

 Kids who experience repeated relational breakdown with peers need play-based experiences of themselves as socially capable, able to integrate their ideas with those of a playmate, and welcome to take care of their sensory needs and communicate their worldview to their friends. Every child needs to be recognized and celebrated for their unique perspectives!
